My name is Dave Green. I am a Barber in Atlanta providing men’s haircut services. Most of my clients are managers, executives, and the professionals who meet with them. They maintain a clean, well put together appearance, and cannot risk having someone say or think that they are “looking shaggy.”

My Barber Chair is a place where a man can relax. He can turn off the world for a while and “recharge his batteries.” I keep the conversation light, or you can simply take in a few moments of peace while I go to work. Some clients opt for a silent haircut where they can “zone out” and unwind in peace while I go to work, only breaking the silence to check along the way to make sure that they are getting the haircut they want.

All haircuts include a shampoo service and finish with a neck shave and a relaxing hot towel so you leave the chair clean, refreshed, and ready for the day.

My home for men’s haircuts is Dave’s Place Barbershop, located in Brookhaven in the Kroger Shopping Center/Cherokee Plaza on Peachtree Rd NE. The shop is inside Salon Lofts, next to Willy’s Mexicana Grill. You can also look for Starbuck’s on the corner.

There is plenty of free parking directly in front of the shop. Salon Lofts keeps the front door locked, so when you arrive, either call or text me at 404-784-2811 and I will buzz you in.

Where I teach

When I am not cutting hair, I am a Barber Instructor at ProFresh Barber Academy, also in Brookhaven.

I place a high value on education. Our students take a 1500 hour course where they learn all aspects of Barbering, including haircutting, anatomy, chemistry, infection control, public safety, and many more subjects. We also have a haircutting floor where we welcome over 150 clients every week for the students to learn and practice with. They are guided by instructors, and when they finish the school, they are prepared for a successful Barbering career.

• Every haircut service includes a vigorous shampoo service.
• A personal consultation where we talk in detail about the haircut that you would like. Men’s haircuts come in a variety of shapes and sizes, and many hairstyles are more than the “#2 on the sides and scissors on top” which new clients have experienced in the past. Some clients bring pictures on their phones of hairstyles to show what they do and don’t like, and others bring previous pictures of themselves to show me how they have worn their hair in the past. I ask a variety of questions during our consultations before I start cutting.
• A men’s haircut tailor-made for your image, morning routine, and lifestyle.
• I shave the neck with hot lather and a straight razor (I will use an alternative to the razor if I observe that the skin is too sensitive, or if any other condition would prohibit the use of a razor).

You can take my notes home with you

When I lived in Seattle, one of my mentors often said “the dullest pen remembers better than the sharpest mind.”

My clients enjoy the fact that I write notes on every haircut and take reference photos so that the next time they are in my chair, we have a starting point. It is more dependable than “do what you did last time.: Sometimes the client says “same thing, but lets go a little longer” or a little shorter.

I encourage every client to take pictures of my notes and their haircut in their own phone so that we can get right to work rather that wait for me to find their notes from over a couple hundred other haircuts.
